I wouldn't call any of the search tools 'easy' :)
I seemed to have the most luck with Google Blog Search. Syndic8.com didn't help me at all. The only real difference I found was how cluttered the pages of syndic8 were (too much all at once). anyone else agree?

Google Blog Search seems to get mentioned a lot in people's posts on this topic. It seems to be one of the favorite feed finding tools. Other folks have commented on how cluttered and busy some of the other sites are. So it sounds like you are having a similar reaction!
